Full Inspection Seminars

Inspection of Firestop Systems is an educational seminar intended to help building officials, fire marshals and design professionals ensure firestopping installations meet governing codes. This in-depth and comprehensive seminar includes a generic, industry created presentation given by representatives from IFC. The free seminar focuses on the requirements, proper inspection and enforcement needed for different firestop applications.

Topics include:

  • Containment in construction
  • Code requirements
  • How firestopping is tested
  • The system approach
  • Proper inspection techniques

In addition to the presentation, all attendees will receive:

  • Inspection pocket guide
  • System number slide cards
  • Inspection guidelines

The Inspection of Firestop Systems program has been approved by The American Institute of Architects (AIA), and participants can receive AIA continuing education credits. While almost all other training seminars in the firestopping industry are delivered by a specific manufacturer, this training incorporates perspectives from many IFC representatives, including those from the testing laboratories, code experts, consultants and manufacturers. The IFC offers a thorough, unbiased seminar with information universal to firestopping.
